Good Riddance Poem by Norma J. Rose

Good Riddance

Rating: 5.0

Hello, heart, my fair friend.

Lost I am in the moment of despair.
My eyes have dried out of crying,
And my mind has drowned in sorrow.
Tracing the last trails of fortune,
Feels like I have been running myself in circles.

Yet now I have forced myself not to fake it.
Everything that was taken can somehow be restored.
Do not fight the feeling,
Even though the memories keep flooding back like tears.
It's just the matter of time.

Goodbye, sorrow, my unwished company.

Repel those blues out of your heart
And let the warmth of a smile brighten up your mind.
Do not ever brood over past.
Let the fortune river ever flow down your soul.

Good riddance indeed... A nice write of moving forwards and leaving all the shadows behind. This has so many bells to my own thoughts and life experiences and very often the thing you have such trouble forgetting you wonder why in future times.. Well that's my experience anyhoos..Love the last inspirational line.... Thanks Karen :)
