I watched you standing there and saw the look on your face
Guess I didn't have to say a word it was clear
Somehow you knew the pain and torment that was felt so long
was coming to an end
Obvious tears in our eyes, but only you knew time had lied
By being denied a chance to begin sadly your career and faith betrayed
I wish you never began to doubt the beliefs you held so near
So we wonder and we pretend, freezing as much time as we possibly can
Living for every moment of this fated day, laughing as we lie
Not wanting to be the one to says the first goodbye
