Grace Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Grace

The world rejects the true report
All sinful flesh will fail
Each woman’s child still falling short
Will land condemned in jail

Rebels against the throne on high
Rejecting Christ as Lord
Seeking to hide even to die
To flee God’s vengeful sword

But death, through Christ will close its gate
Hell’s jaws will open wide
How gruesome then a sinners fate
Beyond the great divide

Yet praise The Lord of lords above
The King of kings on high
Through faith and through His wondrous love
We’ve hope no more to die

Hope to live as never before
Receive the promised rest
Even to rise through Heaven’s door
When Christ our soul has blessed

For if we seek The Master’s face
Turn now our backs to sin
The Promise of His saving grace
Will come and dwell within

Salvation’s grace is no reward
God’s love, can no one buy
But who acknowledge Jesus Lord
Will live and never die

Accept The Truth, God's Lamb and Christ
Accept the grace He’ll give
Believe why He was sacrificed
Believe God's Son and live
