Grandma Louise Poem by Whitney Williamson

Grandma Louise

Rating: 5.0

You had the gift of happiness,
You could always put a smile on my face.
Peering at you through the hospital door,
I felt as if I was going to fall to the floor.
I tried my hardest to be strong,
But could not hold the overwhelming pain inside my own.
I wept dozens of tears,
And did not think that you would hear.
Heart attack and stroke,
Finally you woke.
I reached for your hand within love,
Within the love in you.
