Grandpa Doug Poem by Marissa Ford

Grandpa Doug

Oh how I miss your sweet smile
The things you say
The way you smelled
I was with you in the hospital
I thought that was the end but I guess it wasn’t
Now I know that you’re not suffering anymore
No more pain no more tears
You’re up there in the sky
You made right with god
And you weren’t afraid of dying
