Grandparents And Grandchildren Poem by Prabal Dev

Grandparents And Grandchildren

Work upon day and night,
Parents leave children behind.

Work and love can’t go in one hand.
It needs someone to understand.
And in realization, they put their helping hand.
To ones who’re in their land.

Yes, grandparents are the greatest fans
Of children who call them loving saints.
The day when grandchildren realized,
That now they’re not a bird who can’t fly.

They fly in the affection of exemplary minds.
Grandchildren’s love makes grandparents blind.
And held in grandparents’ affection they find,
That they have left the world behind.

They cannot live without one another,
They are the birds with same feather.
One cries, another weeps,
Neither of them can hide their grief.

Part of the life they are indeed.
One knows others deed.
And last till their lifetime they live together.
Knowing full well once they’ll scatter.

But the time isn’t enough,
Moments they can share some.
A day more if they could get,
To show their love they wouldn’t regret.

Nothing much but a simple touch
Can heal them very much.
And the bonds of affection
Which bind their relation

Of grandparents and grandchildren,
Ends in eternal remembrance.
