Gratifying Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Gratifying

What is there more gratifying,
Than awakening to another early morning.
Feeling blessed and satisfied,
That a yesterday to have lived,
With something done accomplished...
Continues a streak,
More motivated and excited.
As if one has won,
A treasure chest of bottomless happiness.

"Good morning.
And how are you feeling on this glorious day? "

-Just fantastic.
And why not? -

"That's what I say.
Too many living that misery stuff.
And loving each other's company."

-It's a mind thing.
Some people are convinced,
Their complaints are welcomed to hear.
Then wonder why that's all folks talk about.-
