Great Changes Ahead Poem by Francis Duggan

In the World great changes have been taking place
And an uncertain future many people do face
Millions dying of hunger in Lands ravaged by drought
With the spectre of climate change lurking about
According to Mayan Prophecies 2012 is for humanity a crucial year
The end of life as we know it to us might be near
Yet on the Mayan prophecies great minds do disagree
Just thinking about it seems too big for me
Though billions of people like her Seasons to life have come and gone
Nature herself is the one who lives on
Climate Change and Global Warming she will survive
At the end of it all she will be much alive
But of what we are told and of what we have read
For humankind there are great changes ahead.
