Sitting on the shore by myself
Where I sat only yesterday
Holding hands with you
Now am sitting beside myself

I watched the stars with you
We wished and made promises to each other
Locked in your embrace and
Locked in each other’s arms

But today all the stars seem distant
The owl that watched us seems to have gone into hiding
The ocean is quite still and calm
And the cool air that beat against our skin seems so dull

I love you so much that I ache
Because you seem so out of reach
You were here yesterday
Today you are miles away

I want you so much that i
Quiver at the thought of never seeing you again
No longer will there be warm nights
Those that were spent in your arms.
