Greed Poem by Dorsey Baker

Greed

Like a riot
in the street
it can get
out of hand
turn cold cash
red hot
it is a poison
that can kill you
a blindfold
that can blind you
it burns
like a candle flickering
a beautiful flame
enticing to the eye
but wicked
to the flesh
it has killed
the integrity
of so many men
and destroyed
their peace of mind!
