Green Light, Red Light... Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Green Light, Red Light...

Rating: 1.5

Children and their mother are playing a game.
Green light; start and go just as fast as you can.
Red light; activity stops and remains the same.
Green light; accelerate from where your began.

Yellow light is omitted, but needs to be explained.
The signal in between is of extreme importance.
While being entertained, small children are trained.
Caution proceeds a sudden halt of exuberance.

Without caution, the adventure will be frantic.
Sudden starts and stops will stress a life’s tour.
Dormant to manic will result in a stressful antic.
Proceeding with caution will help you stay secure.

It’s the transition that makes a vast difference.
Paying attention to your surroundings and gaining
Knowledge is a valuable reward for your experience.
Avoid whiplash and enjoy the scenery while attaining.
