Green Peace Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I have heard great Emperor Ashoka vowed not fight
His inner conscious rebelled and forced him to act right
He sent her daughter to far countries with message of peace
To propagate the message of love and shun the violence

'I take refuge/shelter to his kingdom'
The slogans are chanted to ask for freedom
Freedom for coming out of social evils
Save the precious lives and vow not to kill

Green is sacred color and represents peace
You may remain mighty and powerful but may prefer life at ease
To live within sacred norms and hurt no one
Harmony and co existence for all and not for one

We live artificial life today
Crush the green forests and find the way
Rob the animals from their natural habitat
Push them to death for satisfying royal habits

Many have done it in past and does need its repetition
There is neck cut rivalry and arms competition
Humanity may suffer if not halted mad race
We need to offer peace in any case

No religion preaches hated and disobedience
Love is the only way and last chance
How many times you may annihilate the human race?
It may still survive on the earth's surface

We are going against his wish
There is nothing like fight to finish
Let us make it green for all the times to come
Any peace initiative or efforts must be welcome

What world may look if greenery is developed within?
What big parks and forests will do in lovely chain?
Of course, peace may prevail and environment too
Hearts may change and peace may come true
