Growing Pains Poem by Nina gáspari

Growing Pains

10 thousand riffles could give it a try
But could never erase your pretty smile
Always an inspiration, when I needed a break
Had to release the tension
In you I could find relief
Someone to soften my grief
Always honest and sincere
Even when the truth could hurt my ears
And break my heart
That´s why I have always kept you near
Never ever apart…
More precious than that black diamond
You have always encouraged me to
Take bigger steps and go beyond
Beyond my eyes could ever dare to see
My mind could ever dare to dream
Sharing our laughters, our growing pains
Our sunny summer days
And facing the dark, stormy rains
In the lonely nights
Your light was my companion
My ethereal confidant
And our laughs would tear the silence apart
Suddenly my lonely tears had found a
Tired shelter in your heart
And my wandering soul
Had found a friend in you and
All that you know
Crazy roads had led us apart
We´re caught in this hectic life
We have ahead
One thing´s for certain
10 thousand lives could pass us by
But could never erase your guiding light.
