Scritto Sulla Sabbia Poem by Nina gáspari

Scritto Sulla Sabbia

Taking inventory of the moments
That have remained untouched and
Preserved in my mind
I have allowed the tide to come
And gently touch my feet
I have watched what the ocean
Had to teach me
Life, love, music and poetry
I have been blessed by the oceanic breeze
And that rosy summer
I met my luck when you smiled at me
Somehow setting my caged spirit, free
Drawing in the air
Writing pretty words in the sand
Setting sail around an idyllic world
Playing with fire, surrounded by nothing but water
And the writings are still there
In the sand
Your life, my fate
My joy, your face
I can´t tell how long it will last
How long it´s gonna remain there
Till the tide wave erases it away
I don´t like making that kind of plan
Maybe that´s why our story´s written in the sand
