Guardian Poem by Princess Kathleene Gabunales

Guardian

in dreams i wonder when she suddendly appear
asleep in full solitude, notice me not
so i thought: does she ever get tired?
not only for a single day-with life-in reality
might come simple, not a question that i've asked
but a thought, locked up with heavy carriages-
cough a little, notice me not still
show me your burden, behind your asleep face
the sadness however entangled with happiness
she comes unselfish to everyone
lacks no care but to herself
give you a hand and treats you like noone
arrest me with your attention
what i like most?
when you're mad, yet never fail to forget
a dark side of you with a twist of heart
yes, still there is love
touch your hair, they're starting to grow gray
notice me not again
i am your army should you know
embrace me with your affection
wrap me with protection
in night and day-old days if i say
nothing's change, age is of a difference,
yet your presence fills empty spaces
whenever down and desperate in times
show me a smile to stop the cry
i am but innocent in your arms
we glow, we share-we are sisters
stay asleep and i should not fear
