Guardian Poem by Douglas ClearyMaxwell

Guardian

I am the light at the end of the tunnel
The one that guides you when your in trouble
I'll keep safe make sure your warm
Even when you have lost your home
Take hold of my hand for I well help
Freeing your mind of all that you've lost

I've been damned to be this way
But I will help guide you every day
All of my love has turned to stone
Breaking down each of my bones
Take them and build a monument as a lesson for all to learn
Life is hard but don't you fright
I am with you every night

Protecting you from all that you fear
Leading you towards a path thats clear
The roads never easy
Its always a challenge
But with out these obstacles you'll never grow

So sing songs that release all your woe
Celebrate things that you've had to let go
Even in the darkest places will this tree grow

Remember now these words that I speak for I have felt Hell
And I will for eternity
Hold on to all that you love for it will save you
Do as I say not what I do
Even when the world is about to end
I will always be with you when you need a hand

Love you forever no matter what
But live on without me for its all that I've got
Don't feel sorry I'll cherish you always
I hope to be with you in another lifetime
