Had It Worse Poem by Randy McClave

Had It Worse

No matter how bad that you have it
Remember someone else is having it much worse,
Before you start rambling with a bad luck fit
Remember, someone else has a curse.
Someone else has lost their house
And someone else has nothing to eat,
Whereas you have seen a mouse
While you just had a small defeat.
Someone else was in an horrific accident
Someone else has just been evicted,
And you are just wearing a splint
While someone else has just been convicted.
Someone else has lost their job
Maybe someone else's friend had died,
And for a bad hair day you did sob
And not for given a big thanks you cried.
You don't have enough money to pay a bill
You don't have enough money for a gift you want to buy,
So, for your nerves you take a pill
Whereas somewhere else someone did die.
Your life is falling apart
Your spouse or your partner has been cheating,
You now cry because of a broken heart
A couple blocks down, someone took a severe beating.
There's a beggar who is begging for food
So, you think of him and so sorry for his calamity,
Then upon himself pity and sadness is viewed
Then he said that beggar down the street, has it worse than he.
