Half Dead Poem by Rickita Ellis

Left to die with little in tack
all of the words you said
sucked the life out of me
Every I Love You made a tear fall
which lead to an overflow for my tearducts
Every I Miss You made my chest start pounding
like i was on drugs
Every I Want You made me want to vomit
every consonant and vowel out of my memory
Every I Promise was a headache
like someone took a jackhammer to my head
Every time i heard your voice
i wanted to cry but i couldnt
because you were not worth my tears
or maybe it was just because
you had killed me softly, and
everyday it was slow and painful
but you didnt kill me, you were
too scared all you did was
leave me (half dead) ! !
