Halloween
Halloween’s just around the corner
As children plan their scary
Costumes and parties
I remember as a child
Sitting in school
Coloring pictures of leaves
And pumpkins
For the school windows
The smell of paste in the air
Along with exciting
Anticipation of that
Special Night!
How joyous to be a child
But then, isn’t there still
Just a glimmer
Of child in each of us
Still when that special
Night appears?
