Happy Birthday Banjo Poem by Kay Moore

Happy Birthday Banjo

Happy Birthday Banjo,
I wish you still were here.
I love to read your poems,
Year long, after year.
My goal in life, my humble wish,
That I'd write poems too,
As epic and as memorable,
As some produced by you.
Matilda is my favourite,
The Man from Snowy too,
Your verses filled with emotion,
Thrill me, thru and thru.
Your works, well known and loved world wide,
I wish you knew, your fame,
An Officer and a Gentleman,
Happy Birthday once again.
