Jesus Christ was born
For this world forlorned.
Sent to save our souls,
Come to make us whole.
2nd verse:
His birthday is near.
Time for love and cheer.
For what could He long?
For our hearts to be strong.
Chorus:
Happy birthday Jesus,
Have a blessed day!
Your love and grace frees us,
You lead us all the way.
Thank you Lord for this gift
You gave to us that day.
Our hearts and souls you lift,
We praise you everyday.
3rd verse:
I love you so, I do,
To you I'll be true.
Devoted I will be
For all eternity.
2nd chorus:
Yes indeed, Lord Jesus,
You live in my heart.
My prayer never ceases:
May you never depart!
