A fresh new start is upon us
I hope my prayers will come true
That our world will come together
I'm sure that you want that too.

Being happy is so very important
We all need peace and happiness
I want that for everyone on earth
It's difficult to live with so much stress.

We have paid our dues, don't you think?
We need to get past the hatred and angry stuff
Heal our hearts and our bodies
I think, my friend, we have suffered enough.

So let us try the best that we know how
It can work for me and for you
Try more than anything else to have
