The ones who mean a lot to you;
A day to hug and kiss your kith
And kin and friend and neighbor too!

A day all want to forget woes,
And never know how time well goes;
A day to talk to young and old,
With luring words that seem like gold!

A day all yearn throughout the year
To share some gift with near and dear;
A day all hope it never ends,
Enjoying much with dear-most friends!

A day renewing ties of past,
And promising that they will last;
A day to never miss on earth,
To thank our parents, God, for birth!
