Hardship Is Hardship Poem by Naveed Akram

Hardship Is Hardship

There are so many roads for the fallen and distorted,
That presents and gifts journey to their recipients.
There has been sent a soul for the soul, a present
From the soul to the soul, like a wrapping of gold.
Why does the road meander in the eyes of most who
Love and like according to peace and heartache?
The hardship is never-ending, is distorting and disturbing,
Like the trials and tribulations from the directness.
Into this infinite well is contained some pure water
Of spirits and wishes containing disorders and orders.
There are so many roads to travel, so many paths to
Tred like the golden brick road in Oz, and the straight
Path of God, the road to heaven and adventure, and the
Path of the spiritual man, the path of the nameless creature.
