Hate Me Poem by Eli J Tod

Hate Me

What if I called to tell you
I hate you.
If I just picked up
The telephone
To tell you how much
The cells in my body
Despise
Every molecule in yours.
If I told you how
My eyes wish to
Bathe you in ice.
Engulf you in fire.
How I burn
To engrave my name
In the paint of your car.
If I told you
The way you laugh
Grates on my nerves
And makes me
Want to scream.
Because you can’t hear
My voice shake
Or my words so slick with
Lies.
Believe me.
Then maybe you will
Hate me back.
