Have Faith In Christ Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Have Faith In Christ

The world revolves in darkness still
Made blind to Heaven’s door
The lion prowls to cheat and kill
And rob man’s ever more

But God would have creation live
Would see His children thrive
A sacrifice He planned to give
So death could man survive

Abandoning His throne on high
Resolved God’s only Son
For sinful man Himself to die
That life again be won

A living option free to all
To every soul on earth
To answer Heaven’s graceful call
And enter second birth

Yet still we play and act like fools
Blind to our Father’s love
Disobeying His sacred rules
Paving the way above

The facts are plain for all to see
The truth is in His word
Christ Jesus came to set us free
Who’ll act on what we’ve heard

But Satan in a murky veil
Evil in shroud-like robe
Persists to tempt bring souls to fail
Just as he tried with Job

But trust in God, have faith in Christ
Stand firm in truth and light
Believe The Lamb God sacrificed
Has won life’s final fight
