Have Patience To Wait Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Have Patience To Wait

I did not
Have patience to wait you
Poet Seer of the wavering
Clouds
Self-joying in hidden pangs
And secret loves
The flower has not yet dried
That you received
In your bosom hid
Exploding with the scent
When it had nearly withered all
Varves of geological time
Exposing themselves and
Their times:
You, Poet Seer
Erect
Too
Expose your Soul, your
Inner Soul trembling in your
Hands, vibrating.
Time is come.
Nay does not a time come
For everything even
The most miserable?
The cycle of the Earth and
The cycle of life move
Hand in hand not
Out of love but of
Necessity.
They move.
They move.
They move hand in hand,
Perforce.
The wanton cemeteries
Glut themselves slow and
Pitiless.
