He Cannot Forget And He Cannot Forgive Poem by Francis Duggan

He Cannot Forget And He Cannot Forgive

By what's right to him he only can live
He cannot forget or he cannot forgive
The perceived wrongs of the past that to his family's name was done
Though the family's good name in the court has been won.

A wealthy young man he is a billionaire
And of every big multi national company he owns some share
But his grudges he will carry with him till death
For he cannot forgive or he cannot forget.

He is very wealthy and he knows of great fame
And he feels so proud of his family's good name
But he sets himself up to be another's judge
And he is a fellow who harbours a grudge.

A twenty first century tycoon the bloke well may be
But a truly great person he does not seem to me
From the very ordinary he does not stand apart
To forgive and forget it is not in his heart.
