He Said Poem by Melissa Black

He Said

Rating: 3.0

He'll lay you down,
so soft, in delicate red.
Trace the lines along your neck,
and try to soothe the pain.

He'll satisfyingly answer for you,
when you are too weak to speak.
He'll gather your friends and family,
Bouquets of roses for you to keep.

He'll promise to take care of your car,
your money, your will, and your sanity.
And as you travel six feet under,
you'll realize what he meant.
