He Was Furious Poem by Randy McClave

He Was Furious

I was quite curious
Why was he still furious,
Was it because we all aren't fools
And because he has to follow the same rules.
If you break the law it's a crime
Either pay your debt with money or serve time,
Whether your rich, middle-class or poor
Justice is not "if" or "but" or "or".
I was just very inquisitive
As I sook his reasonings in a sieve,
And the answers always comes out the same
In his opinion, someone else is always to blame.
He had to attend to all the court readings
And he had to actually attend all of the proceedings,
Does he believe the law doesn't pertain to him
As it doesn't or didn't pertain to Adolf, Vladimir or Kim.
Does he believe he's above the law
As does all dictators I read and do recall,
His actions and beliefs I do not support
Does he believe he's above the Supreme Court.
I believe the reason that he is upset
After decades of getting away, now he must pay his debt,
All that he has said and believed was spurious
That is why he is still furious.
