Hear The Wimperings Poem by Ima Ryma

Hear The Wimperings

The rain forests around the Earth
Are victimized by humankind,
Destroying trees for profit worth.
Few humans really seem to mind.
If and when one human would walk
Through a rain forest one could hear
The trees attempt to sadly talk
Of pleas to reach the human ear
That once the rain forest is gone,
A collapsing of nature will
Slowly but surely descend on
Earth to turn terminally ill.

The rain forest's whimpering cry
Is less and less heard as more die.
