Heart Mechanic Poem by Dónall Dempsey

Heart Mechanic

Rating: 5.0

You tinkered
with my heart

took it apart
put it back together

in 5
seconds flat!

'Howzat! '
you smiled.

A cog wheel
a too stretched spring
a nut...a bolt
a loose screw

remained!

'Don't worry...'
you grinned

'You don't need
those! '

'It will worked just fine
minus a sadness or two
or a hurt here or there! '

'Tip-top! '
it chimed

like an emotional
clock.

'I hope you don't mind
but
I synchronised it with
mine! '

'Tick! ' my heart cried.
'Tock! ' your heart replied.

'I hope you mind but I synchronised it with mine! ' :) Heart's rhythm synchronisation! The idea and the construction of the poem are very creative. In the laboratory of love experiments all is possible. Keep experimenting with your hearts and bodies and keep the lab's diary :)
