Heartache Poem by Chelsea Palma

Heartache

Rating: 5.0

It's everywhere.
Hidden in the shadows,
Behind the cracks in my heart,
In the deepest, darkest part of my soul.
The path I dare not travel,
To a place of despair.
And it sits there,
Just waiting,
To rear it's hideous face,
Waiting for me to become vulnerable,
For me to be open and susceptible to those near and dear.
To start the process again.
Of breaking and entering,
Destroying and disappearing.
Back to the crack,
Hidden behind the shadows,
Peeking from the deepest,
Darkest part of my soul.

I'm same in heart. Heartache is like storm, when it goes peace comes.

Piece of great elegance with rendition of words to utmost justice. You've painted a powerful picture of heartache and its reality. A well drafted piece of poetry bristling with wisdom. Thanks for sharing Chelsea.
