Hoping and praying someone would do the task
As the days go by
No one passes through as time shall fly

Behind the cracks in my heart,

I am from tongue burning hot early morning coffee, sleepy inside jokes from dad and
            "when I catch you I'm gonna eat you"
from childhood play fights knocking out each others teeth to Uno card games where no one wants
to lose

a word most of us know,
a world few of us live in.
The ability to make people feel

When your backs against the wall?
What is love
When you're set up to fall?

You've kicked me to the dirt
Just pushed me aside
Like a fish out of water
You've left me out to dry

I leave the light, that holds me tight.
Don't know how I sleep at night,
but I must keep going,
keep butting up a fight.

There once was a girl so small, so frail,
Who couldn't see the world for what it truly was
As if her eyes were covered by a veil
Unable to see its beauty, unable to see its flaws.

A horror descending
Of two people pretending
And their 'love' forever bending
Never again mending
...

When the night is right
And the stars shine bright
She will appear
And bring upon fear
