It’s too hard, I want to give in
To close my eyes forever
To stop breathing
To escape from it all
That slow aching pain
Making every moment unbearable
It’s like my shadow
Darkening my every move
Never letting me rest
I’m reaching out
Letting out a silent scream
It’s piercing, yet no one can hear it
My eyes; the mirror into my world
Look, see the pain within
Nobody’s looking, nobody can see
My pain evident and hidden
I’m trying, I’m fighting
It’s wearing me down
The pain, it’s my heart
It’s breaking
I can’t fix it
I can’t stop it
