Heartwords Poem by Genesis Bernaldez

Heartwords

Got to tell you something
About what you've said before
You've felt it within
What I am being suspicious for
It's not about you
It's about the poem
That you said it's true
From your emotions it's written
I told you to write down
Words for me to sing
Words that'll keep me frown
Those said by the dyings
I told you to write down
Words coming from your heart
Not from your imagination
But what you speak when hurt
Don't let your mind say it
Let your heart bleed
Let your feelings sing with it
Don't be bothered by your head
I said to write the truths
Truths as your heart breaks
Not what your mind had took
But the tears when you shiver

Don't lie to yourself my dear
Walk alone through midnight streets
You'll find pains you'll bear
Soon as your heart and soul meets
You've done wrong
And try to redo it
Write another song
With somnolence on it
This time try to think
The worst past you had
The worst places you've been
The times you've been bad
Let them grips you
Pulling out the sorrows within
Let them flow inside you
Until you wake up screaming
After that my dear
You can take your knife
Place it on your left wrist
It's time to end your life
Say goodbye as you're mesmerized.
