Help Your Children Poem by Catrina Joint

Help Your Children

Lord help your children, for we may stray away,
Protect us and keep us from danger from day to day.
We may make mistakes in many things we do,
But deep in our hearts we truly love you.
Help us not to believe in what our friends said they heard,
but instead go to you constantly, study and read your word.
Forgive us of our sins for the world has almost control over our
minds,
But in your word, you said if we knock and seek for you, on you, in you we
will find.
Now-a-days we are in darkness and definitely need your light,
And we will try to obey you even though it takes all our heart, soul,
strength, and might.
Lord, help your children, for we insist on doing wrong, but when we
get confused, give us that peaceful Christian son.
Help us to listen to what our parents have to say
For through them they show us that you are the light, the truth, and
the way.
Lord, just help us to be everything you want us to be,
For on the cross you died and now salvation is free.
