Her Favourite Poet Is Swinburne Poem by Francis Duggan

Her Favourite Poet Is Swinburne

She loves the poems of Swinburne the brown haired brown eyed one
And Swinburne was a great poet when all is said and done
At poetry gatherings and readings the famed bards poems she does recite
And she herself is a fine poet and good poems she does write,
One in her early thirties and in her writing prime
Quite talented she writes in free verse and in haiku and in rhyme
But Swinburne is her favourite poet she swears none as great as he
The poems of Swinburne are the poems of immortality,
Many do like her poetry she has a style of her own
And outside of her Hometown she has become well known
One acquainted with poets and poetry and there can be no doubt
When it comes to things poetic she knows what she's on about
But her favourite poet is Swinburne to his poems she does relate
And his poems like all great poetry does not have a use by date.
