Her Pain Is Slowly Fading Away Poem by beautiful imperfection

There's so many things inside
and she tries to hold on,
but with Jesus Christ as her guide,
she is forced to move along.
She is slowly healing,
and the pain she hides inside
is slowly but surely leaving.
She's beginning to feel so free
because her masks are no more,
she's flapping her wings,
ready to spread them and soar.
And as she slowly realizes
what has come to be,
she now knows that the best way to live
is simply on her knees.
