You Never Walked Away... Poem by beautiful imperfection

You came into my life
and never walked away,
even when I moved
and we could no longer play.
You remained true
and always by my side,
And now I know
in you I can confide.
When I moved here,
I truly learned a lot.
I now know who my true friends are
the lesson has been taught,
and I just want to thank you
for being there
and not leaving me
with a heart so very bare.
I know that I can come to you
with my secret thoughts anytime, anyday,
and you will keep them to yourself
and know just when to pray.
So thanks for being a truly great friend
on whom I can depend,
I know now
this friendship will never end.
