Here Is Your God Damn Goodbye Poem by J. Matthew Thacker

Here Is Your God Damn Goodbye

Rating: 1.5

The broken shards of
your heart cuts away at my soul
killing off my sanity
and as I bleed
you stand by and cry
your tears vilate my confesion to
a deadly sin.

The twisted shards of
my heart stab your dreams
killing off your sanity
and as you bleed
I stand by and cry
my tears vilate your confesion to
a deadly sin.

But we dance tonight
dance away the hurt
and
the love
and
the last bit of our hearts
our lives.
I never said goodbye,
You never said goodbye.
The world never turned so fast,
and I never forgot

But you
you never forgave.
I loved you as if
I had died.
You loved me as if
it hurt to cry.

I tried to
make it stop,
to make you smile
to comfort myself.
You tried to
make it stop
to make me belive
to comfort yourself.

And as you go
and
I go.
He is there,
never was he gone.
I said to you
'i love you more than life.'
You said to me
' i know.'

But its not enough,
I was not enough.
He is there
never was he gone.

When we write we write not only to let it out but we pray our words will call to someone else. This calls to me. Thanks for sharing.
