Here Today, Gone As A Wink Poem by Hebert Logerie

Here Today, Gone As A Wink

Here today, gone in the afternoon.
Gone the same day, gunned down
In an instant. Nobody is safe anymore.
Not too long ago, a thief broke into
The Queen's residential palace.
Some slimes or sods are really out of place.
They have no limits. Even a steel door
Does not dissuade this type of mildew.
This is a very ill society where nobody is safe.
There are too many sick and evil people around.
It is okay to feel sorry for a sick waif,
But the State got put their feet down.
At all levels in our society, there are germs,
Which need to be eradicated. These lethal worms
Should not be welcome anywhere. Some even
Become presidents these days. There's no haven,
Under the sun, where absolute peace is found.
Pray that you and I will be able to stick around.
