Here With Us Poem by Dan Brown

Here With Us

You slipped away, so
Peacefully.
Left us, so
Quietly.
Like so much of you,
It was mysterious, unexpected
and painful.
Wherever it is you’ve gone,
your memory shall live on,
and we will not forget you.
You’ll remain in our heart,
as you’ve been from the start,
and I sincerely hope you knew.
We send you to God
on the wings of our Love.
Send you to Nan
who is waiting above.
Its hard, and its painful,
and tears will be shed,
as we lay you to sleep,
one last time,
in your one last bed.
Ashes to ashes.
Dust to dust.
We know you’re here,
Here with us.
