Hewn Of Out Of Wood Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Hewn Of Out Of Wood

Hewn of out of wood
And trees.

It prepares for a decay and
Transformation.

Pairs of eyes weep,
The priests intone
The funereal mass
The grave-diggers intone
The fugue of graves
And burying.
