Hidden Within A Smile Poem by Noorruddin Sawaf

Hidden Within A Smile

Rating: 5.0

Ever wonder why you feel so free
With lost thoughts and infinite memory

Butterflies on each day you smile
Undying laughter fills the void
That proves peace and serenity to the untold lie
We live to die and die to live
To fill the empty flask of the forlorn eye
In order to stray away from the word 'goodbye'

Enclosed in despair
But only the smile could alter the air

You awake alone
with shivers down your bone
It's a loss like broken pieces left to rot
And YOU dress to stage the life of a mascot.
