Hideous Monster Poem by Adam Hannigan

Hideous Monster

Should you lie for the sake of lying?
Stories like fables roll from the lips
The truth is stabbed and dyeing
Other one’s graze at the curve of the hips
Time is not the only commodity
It’s a thing that you cannot waist
For such a sex starved and enslaved Oddity
Poorly timed words made in haste
Hurt feelings bellow forth in indignant rage
I can barely conceal the new found distaste
Relax and sing and meditate like Sage
To forgive another is tantamount to Paste
Then the ship of fools wins the race
I will long move on to another’s embrace
