Hillbilly Place To Eat Poem by Marilyn Lott

Hillbilly Place To Eat

Rating: 5.0

I know of just the place to go
For a fine and delicious meal
It’s quite the unique spot to eat
It’s got that hillbilly feel

He stands there looking casual
In his floppy hat and beard
I’m sure quite handsome in his day
But for many he looks a bit weird

The food is great and while you eat
Just look along the walls
You’ll see trophies of amazing fish
Some are large and some are small

Folks that visit have left their mark
‘Cause on the wall you’ll find
License plates from miles around
Every color and kind

If you need to send a letter
A fish mailbox is in place
Stop and pet Fido too
He won’t want you to leave in haste

So stop right in and have some lunch
I think that you will find
The food is great, the place is fun
There is only one of its kind!
