In a brazen bedroom
of deceit,
she lay seductive,
leg folded, naive
and thoughtless
in freshly crumpled sheets.

From out of the shadows,
a macho man
with silenced gun,
judged six span
and...
fired a sure shot.

Moving fast,
his body spun
to make a sudden
freedom run.

She,
a blast hole
in her head,
lay in death
on the marital bed.

A very sad poem with the hitman ending her life so quickly all her dreams gone, betrayed by the one she loves! Superb write!
