I'm holding onto this pain
And I do not know why
I do not know the reasons for anything
Especially why you are on my mind
Each and every day

I'm holding onto you
Even though you are not here
And I wish you were
I hate it that we live so far a part

I hate it that you don't know how I feel
All I can do is pour my feelings onto pieces of paper
Cause I can't pour my feelings out to you
Although I do wonder what you would say
Would you feel the same

Oh how I do want to know
But I just can't tell you how I feel
And I hate that I can't
Holding on to these feelings and it does hurt

I've tried to tell you how I feel
But I just don't know where to begin
You make me happy
Make me smile even when I don't want to
You even make my heart melt away

Holding on to these feelings for you
Wondering why I can't tell you
And why I can't get you off my mind
All I can do is think of you and write my feelings out

Oh how I want you here with me
How I want you to try to kill this pain
This pain that I have from head to toe
How I want you wipe these tears from my eyes
But you would never love a girl like me

A girl who is broken inside and out
Would you
I know you wouldn't
Thats why I'm holding on to these feelings inside
