Holes In Pocket Poem by Randy McClave

Holes In Pocket

What will you have in your pockets
When you are judged by the Lord,
Will it be full of dockets
Or maybe a bloody sword.
Maybe they will be stuffed full of banners
Or maybe even a few flags,
Maybe there will some forgotten manners
Or maybe sadly, some toe tags.
Maybe they will be full of racism
Also with bigotry and also hate,
Or maybe there will be IOU'S owed him
Postmarked for a different date.
Will you pockets be full of drama
Or maybe just full of pity,
Maybe there might be bits of a trauma
And guilt, maybe a little, or a bitty.
Will your pockets be full of judgements and lies
And/ or of broken promises that you made,
Or will there will be a pictures of gals and guys
To which with you had used, and/ or laid.
Maybe in your pocket will be your diary
That you have also always kept,
That documents your life so sinful and fiery
And every person that has ever gave you regret.
Will your pockets be over bulging
For the times that you have cheated
Or will they be full of your greed and indulging
And the many times that you sinfully mistreated.
Will you meet God with mercy and shame
For the pain that you inflicted on other souls,
Maybe in God's pocket there will be forgiveness in his name
Then in your pockets, there will be only holes.
